Challenge

Our client MEC turned to TI Group to help open their flagship store at 300 Queen Street West in Toronto. They wanted strong, vibrant graphics for their expansive 35,750 square feet of retail space.

Solution

We combined illuminated scenic graphics with captivating informational signage throughout the store, all of which help bring the great outdoor experience into this space that is right in the heart of the Toronto concrete jungle. It all begins in the MEC’s vestibule where we installed a floor to ceiling vinyl mural of a dense forest landscape that really sets the tone for this outdoor adventure store. We installed over 30 frames throughout the store, ranging from 4 feet to as large as 25 feet, that helped enhanced this already brilliant retail space. These frames are both static and movable, and easy for graphic change outs with each and every season.

Results

This is more than a store – it’s a hub for Toronto’s outdoor community. This space is the basecamp for workshops and how-to events. It’s where adventures and athletes meet to get inspired. The new store also has a bike shop, rental equipment and product demos where you can experience bike trainers and virtual tent-life.
