Wholesale Club wanted to rethink its approach to the management of marketing program materials across its retail chain. The challenges included: inefficiencies in the process of managing store marketing requests, waste with pre-printed inventoried items and the aim to allocate costs more appropriately. “We needed to revamp our approach to creating marketing program materials. The goal was to make it more convenient for both Marketing Services and the stores to see the benefits,” stated Bev McHenry, Senior Marketing Manager, Wholesale Club. TI Group’s TI Connect was implemented at Wholesale Club. “Stores go on the site, place an order and they are invoiced for inventoried or print on demand items. We create a range of materials: shelf signage, posters, anything around price and product identification and even business development tools for our Reps,” said Bev. Bev immediately saw the benefits. “It freed up a lot of time for Marketing Services and it was more efficient for the stores. Each outlet gets what they need faster because the website allows them to see exactly what they should have. This helps them comply with marketing standards. Seeing the costs and benefits ensures they only pay for what they use. I can also pull reports to see what stores are ordering and what they are spending.”
